MSP430FR4133: LCD_E driving 1/2 bias display

Hello.  Similar situation with another forum post, but i unfortunately don't have a pin-compatible 1/3 bias display to use.  I would like to use the LCD_E to drive a 1/2 bias display.  I've reached out to the manufacturer to see if this is ok, but i'm wondering if I could also do this by disabling the charge-pump and deriving the bias w/ external resistors, applying a short R13 to R23?
