MSP430F5529 Recovery fails on CCS in Linux

Hello,

I am new to this. I have purchased an MSP430F5529 lanchpad, and installed CCS v6.2. I was trying to run one of the sample projects. Every time I try to debug, I get the following error:

Error initializing emulator:
One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process.

Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery.

When I try to recover/update firmware, I get the following error:

MSP430: Error initializing emulator: One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process. Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery.
MSP430: Error: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed

So I googled for solutions and followed this:

http://www.aglaglobal.com/content/recover-broken-fet-msp430f5529-launchpad-after-ccs-crashes-during-firmware-update

But every time I run "sudo mspdebug tilib --allow-fw-update",  I get this error in the terminal:

tilib_api: can't find libmsp430.so: libmsp430.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I couldn't find a solution for this problem, does that mean my device is broken? Can you tell me how can I fix this problem?

Thanks

Azharul Karim
