I'm trying to line up a number of people to flash firmware to MSP devices using the launchpad msp430g under various versions of Windows from XP to 10. They are not experienced, so I'm writing instructions. The issue right now is the USB drivers for the Launchpad since none of these folks already has an IDE installed. I've found two files supposedly containing the drivers, but they are very different. The first is slac524.zip, which contains three files totalling about 62K in size. I got that from the Launchpad page. The other is ti_msp430driver_setup_1_00_01_00.zip, which contains one .exe file over 15MB in size. I don't know where I got that. I could swear I used the slac524 file on my computer two years ago, but that was XP. Anyway, can anyone clarify what should be used to install the USB drivers?
