TIDM-1PHMTR-ESD: Explanation for the DC filter code

Hi there

In the ref design code for this EVM there is a function that filters the DC component from the AC waveform called "dc_filter16.asm"

I am wanting to know whether there is a link anywhere that will explain the algorithm used.
