MSP430FR2311: MSP430FR2311 low power, low cost RTC-based wake-up controller - with battery charging software library (BQ32000)?

MSP430 Friends and Family,

Our customer would like to use our MSP430FR2311 as a wake-up controller in their AM335x Sitara-based architecture by following our "Simple RTC-Based System Wake-up Controller Using MSP430™ MCUs“:  http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa812/slaa812.pdf

This includes the sample code that is available for download here:

 Along with this App Note specific to the RTC-based wake-up controller application:

However, they wonder now if there is a specific software library mimicking the BQ32000 for the Linux kernel?  That would help them out as they continue designing this system which will include other BQ-devices for battery charging purposes.

Any thoughts welcomed.
